Andrew founded Expedition Yorkshire to enable the adventurous, the curious and the new traveller to discover Yorkshire — and, within its geography, some of the United Kingdom's most stunning landscapes and fascinating histories. The idea was simple: small, private groups of seven or fewer create a warmth and authenticity that mass-market coach tours never can.
The founder
From The English Bus to the Yorkshire Dales
Before Expedition Yorkshire, Andrew spent seven years leading tours across southern England with The English Bus — Stonehenge, Bath, the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Canterbury and Oxford — welcoming more than 6,000 international guests and helping the company reach TripAdvisor's number-one UK tour.
Again and again he noticed the same gap: hardly anyone had planned to see Yorkshire, despite its exceptional heritage and landscapes. Public transport into the Dales and Moors ranges from awkward to non-existent, and driving on the left is daunting for first-time visitors. Expedition Yorkshire was built to remove those obstacles — with expert local guides and a vehicle made for the job.
